EU countries meet with the Ukraine president – level 2

The prime ministers of the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovenia met with the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskiy on Monday.
The leaders traveled from Poland to Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv, by train, and the journey took three hours. All men spoke about the visit with the presidents of the European Commission and Council, who agreed with it, but they said that it was dangerous to go to Ukraine. Russian soldiers were surrounding Kyiv, and during the meeting, it was possible to hear loud noises from bombs and guns.
The leaders said that Ukraine fought for all Europe and its values. It was important to show support and to say that Ukraine was not alone in the war.
Difficult words: prime minister (the head of a government), surround (to be around something on all sides), value (what a person considers important or right).
