First Aid in Acid Attack – level 1
11-07-2022 15:00
There are more and more acid attacks in the UK. This is because you can easily buy an acid. Buying a gun or a large knife is not easy. Punishments for acid attacks are also lighter.
Acid burns your skin. It is extremely painful. It leaves scars for life.
To help someone, you must get a lot of water. You need to get as much as 60 litres. Use only clean water.
Remove clothing and jewellery. Pour water on the person. Do this for up to 45 minutes. Do not put any cream on the burns. Get the person to hospital.
Difficult words: acid (a chemical which burns), punishment (paying money or going to prison for doing something bad), lighter (not as bad), pour (put).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
