Floods in France – level 1
22-10-2018 07:00
It rains a lot in southern France. The amount of water is extreme. Water, which normally rains in months, falls down in a night.
This leads to flash floods. Small rivers become raging torrents. Roads are washed away. Thirteen people die.
Difficult words: amount (how much of something), flash flood (a lot of water which comes quickly because of a lot of rain), raging torrent (a lot of powerful water which moves very fast).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
