Floods in Sierra Leone – level 1

Sierra Leone is a country in West Africa. It rains a lot there. There are floods and mudslides because of the rain.
A part of a hill collapses at night. People do not have time to run away. Around 200 people die. Over 2,000 people lose their homes.
Difficult words: flood (a lot of water water which can break houses), mudslide (when water and earth mix, move and break things), collapse (fall down).
