Guns become steel – level 3

Columbian authorities are melting down around 29,000 weapons; they confiscated them in operations against criminal organizations, and they are turning them into steel to build low-income housing.
Among the seized weapons were riffles, machine guns, and rocket launchers. During the melting process, a part will be turned into steel for construction rods.
A member of the Colombian Armed Forces said that he considered this act virtuous. Criminals had harmful elements in Colombia’s streets, and now they will have a virtuous end.
