Hurt Service Members – level 3

Last month, the US killed a top Iranian general after President Donald Trump authorized the killing. In retaliation, Iran attacked a US military base in Iraq.

At first, the president said that no US service members were hurt or killed in the attack, but later he said that some of them had “headaches.”

After that, the Defense Department said that 64 people had mild traumatic brain injuries; recently the Department said that 109 service members were diagnosed. 76 people had been treated and returned to work.

Difficult words: service member (a person who works for the military), mild traumatic brain injury (when your body shakes so hard that it injures your brain a little bit), diagnose (to determine that someone has a medical condition).
