India lands on the Moon – level 1
28-08-2023 07:00
India does something big. They land on the Moon.
This is special because only the US, old Russia, and China do it before. A machine called Vikram from India’s space group ISRO lands on time. People in India are happy. Their leader Narendra Modi is proud. The space group’s main person says that many people work hard to make this happen.
The mission wants to study the surface and take pictures from the Moon. Scientists want to find ice. It can help people live on the Moon and travel in space.
A small car named Pragyaan will explore the Moon. It will take pictures and do studies.
Difficult words: proud (feeling happy when someone does something great), surface (the outer part of a thing), explore (to move around a place and find interesting things).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
What other objectives does the mission have to help scientists from India?
