Islands in South China Sea – level 1
05-12-2019 15:00
There are islands in the South China Sea. Some countries want these islands. These countries argue about them. There are more than 70 islands like this. The countries which argue are China, Malaysia, Taiwan, Vietnam and the Philippines.
One island is the Thitu island. It belongs to the Philippines. However, China claims the island, too. There are many Chinese ships around this island. This creates problems between China and the Philippines.
Difficult words: argue (not agree about problems), claim (say that it is yours), create (make).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
