Trump recognises Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. He tells his government to move the American embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

Trump makes some people angry. People worry that this new situation can make things worse in the region. People protest in Jerusalem. The Israeli police try to bring them under control.

Difficult words: recognise (formally say that something is true), government (the organisation which runs a country), embassy (a country’s office which talks with other countries).
