Lego is 60 Years Old – level 2
07-02-2018 07:00
Lego is celebrating its 60th anniversary. In 1934, its creator named ‘Lego’ after two Danish words which mean ‘play well’. In 1958, the Lego brick as we know it became patented.
The company says that now you can play with the dotted brick in 915,103,765 ways!
The company also works with film companies to keep the toy interesting for changing times. In addition, there are theme parks around the world of famous places made out of Lego.
Difficult words: patent (when the government says that a company can be the only one to make something for a certain time), dotted (with little circles), brick (one Lego piece).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
