In the last financial quarter, Microsoft’s cloud business grew very much, even more than experts predicted.

This was mainly because Microsoft invested in artificial intelligence (AI), and as a result, Microsoft’s shares increased by 5%. On the other hand, Google’s parent company Alphabet experienced a 7% drop in its shares. Microsoft’s success partially happened because of the strong promotion of AI technologies like Copilots and GenAI.  Also, the company invested in AI startup OpenAI, which paid off.

AI technology became part of various Microsoft products, such as Bing, Microsoft 365, and Github. Microsoft relied on existing relationships with larger clients, which was a good business strategy.
