Money to US Universities – level 1
18-02-2020 07:00
Some foreign countries give money to US universities. These countries are China or Saudi Arabia, for example. They want to be strong partners for US universities.
Some universities do not give information about the money. It is a problem. All US colleges and universities must give information about gifts that they get. They must tell if they get gitfs bigger than $250,000 dollars. It is the law.
However, many universities do not do this. Some of the biggest and most popular universities have problems, too. Yale University does not give information about $375 million dollars.
Officials say that it is important to tell the truth about foreign money to US schools.
Difficult words: foreign (from abroad), college (a type of a university), law (a rule).
