Monster truck accident – level 2
07-10-2014 07:00
A monster truck drove into two people and killed them and injured 18 more. This happened at a motor show in the Netherlands.
The giant truck had tractor-sized wheels and 1,500 horsepower. It revved hard and it drove over six cars. However, it did not brake after the stunt and drove into the crowd. A person posted an amateur video of the moment on Facebook.
People took the injured to nearby hospitals. Ambulance helicopters flew to the scene of the accident.
Difficult words: rev (to increase the running speed of an engine), brake (to make a car go more slowly or stop), stunt (something exciting and dangerous).
You can read the original story and watch the video in the Level 3 section.
Whose fault is this?
