Israel has begun firing tank shells into Gaza, as troops gathered along the border. In a video shared by Palestinian journalists on social media, people can be heard screaming as their home shakes.

Hamas and other militant groups continued to fire rockets into Israel, most of which have been stopped by the Israeli defense system.

Many Palestinian families have evacuated their homes because of the big shells landing. The damage to Gaza has been widespread.

In Israel, more intercommunal violence between Jews and Arabs has broken out. There has been ongoing rioting, destruction of property, and violent attacks on individuals. Hundreds of people have been arrested.
