Protests in Moscow – level 2
30-03-2017 15:00
Thousands of people protested in Moscow against corruption. They also demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Medvedev.
It is the biggest anti-Kremlin protest since 2011. However, opinion polls show that more people like Putin than his opposition.
Police arrested hundreds of people. They also arrested Alexei Navalny, who is the opposition leader.
Difficult words: demand (ask, want), resignation (stop doing a job), opinion poll (when you count how many people like one thing or another thing).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
