Ramadan ends – level 1
15-04-2024 15:00
People all over the world celebrate Eid al-Fitr. It is a special holiday after Ramadan. People pray. It is the time when everyone is happy.
But this year, people are sad. They remember the fighting in Gaza. Leaders in Turkey, Kenya, and Indonesia support Gaza. They want the fighting to end. In Malaysia, leaders say that everyone should be friends and respect each other.
People have fun celebrating. But they are sad at the same time. They want to help. It is important to be kind and stick together when times are difficult.
Difficult words: pray (to talk to God), respect (to be nice and fair to others), stick together (to stay close to each other).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
What countries have shown support for Gaza during the celebrations of Eid al-Fitr and how have they expressed this support?
