Real Madrid wins La Liga – level 3
11-05-2022 07:00
On Saturday, club Real Madrid won the second La Liga title in three years after a convincing 4-0 victory against club Espanyol.
At the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu in Madrid, Spain, tennis star Rafael Nadal did the honorary kickoff. Player Rodrygo scored twice in the first half, before players Marco Asensio and Karim Benzema added two more goals in the second half. They then completed a comfortable victory.
Club Real Madrid now has won 35 league titles, nine more than its biggest rival team Barca. Real dominated in Spain this season when it won 25 league games and lost just three. Thus, the manager of Real Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti, has become the first manager to win the Premier League, the Bundesliga, Serie A, Ligue 1, and La Liga in his coaching career.
Difficult words: convincing (clear), honorary (given or done as an honor), dominate (to be the most important or noticeable part of something).
