Ronaldo wins another Golden Shoe – level 2

For the fourth time, Cristiano Ronaldo won the European Golden Shoe award.

He is the first player to have four Golden Shoes, but he says that he wants more. Ronaldo wants to win a fifth and a sixth shoe, too.

The award recognises Cristiano as the top scorer in Europe’s domestic leagues. The star picked up the trophy at a ceremony in Madrid with his son Cristiano Junior. Ronaldo is also Real Madrid’s top scorer in history.

Difficult words: scorer (a player who scores goals), domestic (happening inside a country; not international), trophy (a special thing which you win).
