Shooting in Arkansas – level 2
21-11-2018 07:00
Arkansas is a state in the American South, and the police stopped a man there for a traffic violation last Sunday. Moments after stopping, he opened fire on the police officer. The officer started firing back at him.
A camera in the police car filmed the incident. The video also shows another car approach and stop at the scene. Then, it quickly backs up to get away from the danger.
After about a minute of shooting, the man got back in his car and drove away. Luckily, no one was seriously hurt in the incident. Police arrested the driver later that day.
Difficult words: traffic violation (an offence – doing something illegal on the road), approach (come), scene (the place where something happens).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
