Many people have smartphones or tablets. You can unlock many smartphones with your finger, your eyes or your face.

This news is about the American police. A judge rules that police cannot make people unlock their phones with their finger, eyes, or face. People can unlock the device only if they want to.

Difficult words: unlock (open), judge (a lawyer with a lot of power and authority), rule (officially say what people can or cannot do), device (an electronic thing like a smartphone, a tablet, or a computer).
