SpaceX Passes Test – level 1
24-01-2020 15:00
SpaceX tests an important system in its astronaut capsule. The system works when a rocket is flying. The system takes the capsule away from the rocket. It lets astronauts escape if there is an emergency.
The test happens at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, USA. The test is successful.
NASA is working with SpaceX and Boeing. The companies are making spacecraft. The spacecraft can take US astronauts to the International Space Station.
The US’s Space Shuttle program retires in 2011.
CNN says that people are almost done working on SpaceX’s astronaut capsule.
Difficult words: capsule (a small part in big thing), Space Shuttle (the older spacecraft that go to space; now people use new and different spacecraft), retire (to stop work).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
