Street Lamps as Charging Points – level 1
27-07-2017 15:00
In London, a company wants to turn street lamps into charging points for electric cars. This is part of a pilot project. The company puts devices into the lamp poles. An electric car driver can then just find a street lamp.
If you can charge anywhere, more people will buy electric cars. At the same time, London’s famous black cab is changing. It is getting friendlier to the world. A new model is coming out later this year.
Difficult words: charging point (a place to charge/fill up the battery of the car), pilot project (a test project), device (a machine or tool).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
