Suitcase With a Body Inside – level 1

In February, a husband and a wife go on a cruise. The wife disappears. Police arrest the husband. They think that he does something to his wife.

Now it is March. In Italy, a boat owner is at a port. He sees a suitcase in the water. He picks it up. It is heavy. He unzips the suitcase. He finds a black bag inside. It looks like there is a person in the bag.

Italian police think that the wife is in the black bag. Her husband’s lawyer says that it is not her body. The police are still working.

Difficult words: cruise (a holiday on a big boat), disappear (go missing; be killed or get lost), owner (someone who has something).
