Amazon is working on rules about technology which can recognize a person’s face. Amazon’s CEO, Jeff Bezos, says that his team is working on these rules that he wants to present to Congress.

Bezos believes that facial recognition has many benefits, but there is also danger that it can be abused.

Critics worry that the technology could lead to discrimination and violation of human rights. In February, Amazon released rules for the new technology which could become a part of federal legislation. The technology must protect civil rights and all activities must be transparent.

Difficult words: abuse (use for a bad purpose), discrimination (saying that someone is different based on how he looks), violation of human rights (when a person follows rules but cannot live his life in freedom), civil rights (rights that protect you as a person).
