The Artemis II – level 1

13-04-2026 15:00

Four astronauts are flying to the moon! This mission is called Artemis II. On Monday, they break a big record. They are now the people who travel the farthest away from Earth ever.

People go to the moon more than fifty years ago. Now, the astronauts fly around the back of the moon. It is very dark there. They do not land on the moon. They see amazing views of Earth.

The trip will last about 10 days. Soon, they will come back to Earth and land in the Pacific Ocean. This is a very exciting time for science!

Difficult words: mission (a specific job or trip), view (what you can see from a place), exciting (something what makes you feel happy or full of energy).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.

What big record did they break on Monday?
