The risks of Ozempic – level 1
29-06-2026 15:00
Ozempic is now very famous in America. First, it helps sick people, but now many people use it to look thin.
The companies spend a lot of money on big television advertisements. Normal parents and children see these advertisements every week. The videos show that thin people are always happy and big people are sad. This makes everyone want to lose weight. It makes people feel bad about their bodies. Some people even buy the medicine online without a doctor’s prescription.
Scientists say that this is dangerous. We must follow the rules of science, not television. We must speak about the risks of Ozempic, too.
Difficult words: advertisement (a video, picture, or text on TV or the internet which makes people want to buy a product), weight (how heavy a person or an object is), risk (the chance of something bad happening to your health or life).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
How do the television advertisements portraying thin people as always happy and big people as sad influence viewers' attitudes and actions toward weight loss and Ozempic?
