The sound of a black hole

For the first time ever, we can listen to the sound of a black hole.

A very big black hole is in the center of the Perseus galaxy. The galaxy is a part of the Perseus galaxy cluster. Thousands of galaxies are in the cluster. A lot of gas is there.

Normally, we cannot hear sound in space. Sound needs air to travel. No air is in space.

Interestingly, the black hole makes the gas move. Scientists can read the sound from the moving gas.

Scientists make the sound louder. They mix it with other information. The result is the real sound of the black hole.

Difficult words: black hole (a place in space where nothing can get out), galaxy (millions of stars and gas), cluster (a group of similar things which are close together).
