The US helps Iran – level 3

There are concerns that Iran does not get enough food and medicine help because of sanctions on this country. The Trump administration is working on new regulations for humanitarian aid to Iran.

The US wants to make the regulations easier. It is important that Iran still receives food, medicine, and other help. The regulations will also guarantee that the financial aid does not support Iran’s military program and terrorist groups.

Steven Mnuchin, the Treasury Department Secretary, says that the new regulations will help international companies with humanitarian trade with Iran.

Difficult words: sanction (a form of penalty when a country or countries stop business with another country), regulation (an official rule), humanitarian (the idea that is good to help people in need).
