Trump Is the President – level 2
11-11-2016 07:00
Crowds of people shouted “Not my president” in the streets of California. They wanted to express their anger at the election of Donald Trump as president of the United States.
They wanted to make sure that their voices were heard. Hundreds of these people went through big cities. They used anti-Trump slogans and shouted insults at the newly elected president.
Republican Donald Trump’s victory over democrat Hillary Clinton shocked many people. It ended eight years of democratic control of the White House. Clearly, as the protests show, many people are not pleased with the result.
Difficult words: express (show), election (choosing), insult (angry words).
