Upskirting in UK – level 2
04-02-2019 07:00
Upskirting is taking unauthorised pictures up a woman’s skirt. In Scotland it became illegal in 2010, but it is not illegal in England and in Wales.
However, this can soon change if a new law passes in the House of Lords. The law will make upskirting an offence. This is thanks to Gina Martin who was upskirted at a music festival in the summer of 2017. Later, she started a campaign to outlaw the practise.
Difficult words: unauthorised (not give permission), offence (an illegal act), outlaw (make illegal).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
