World Pup – level 2

Football fans are watching the World Cup, and last Tuesday, there was also a match between puppies. It was the English Bulldogs versus the Maltese Bichons – a World Pup match.

Doctors say that a person’s heart rate can more than double during a tense match and watching puppies play football can be relaxing.

The doggies played for 90 minutes and it was not without problems. The referee issued a red card after one of the Bichons pooped on the pitch.

Difficult words: heart rate (the speed at which the heart beats), tense (stressful), match (game of football).
