Anti-gun Protests in the USA – level 2

Students across the United States took to the streets to demand that the government do something against gun violence. This comes after a mass shooting at a Florida high school last month.

Thousands of people protested at the White House and Capitol Hill with some protesters asking politicians to speak for gun control.

Difficult words: demand (strongly ask for), government (the group of people who are the ‘bosses’ of a country), gun violence (shooting).
