Australia shark attack – level 1

10-06-2026 07:00

A big shark kills a 35-year-old man in Australia. The man is fishing with a spear with his family near an island. A very large shark comes and bites him. His family puts him in a boat to go to the hospital fast. But the man dies. His cuts are too bad.

The people in the nearby town are crying and very sad. It is a small town, and they all know the man. A short time before the attack, a computer machine sees a big shark in the water near the beach. An expert said four people die in shark attacks in Australia this year. He says that fishing in the sea is dangerous. Sharks like the smell of fish blood. He says people must not swim in dark water.

Difficult words: spear (a long stick with a sharp end), cut (when your skin is hurt by something sharp), smell (what you can notice with your nose).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.

How many people did the expert say have died in shark attacks in Australia this year?
