Drake and Kendrick Lamar may go to court – level 2
29-11-2024 15:00
Drake made his fight with Kendrick Lamar more serious. He accused music companies of helping Lamar’s diss track Not Like Us unfairly.
The song came out earlier this year, and it includes lyrics which suggest that Drake is a sex offender. This made the fight between them even worse. This week, Drake filed notices in Texas and New York. He said Universal Music, Spotify, and iHeartMedia used bots and pay-to-play deals to make the song more popular. Universal said that it was not true, and Spotify and iHeartMedia didn’t comment.
The filings are not formal, but Drake and Kendrick Lamar may go to court.
Difficult words: accuse (to say that someone did something wrong), diss (disrespectful), file a notice (to inform a court of a case).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
What accusations has Drake made against Universal Music, Spotify, and iHeartMedia in relation to Kendrick Lamar's diss track Not Like Us?
