EU on Iran Deal – level 3

The President of the European Council, Donald Tusk, reconfirmed that the EU will stick to the Iran nuclear deal as long as Iran does.

He added that the deal was good for European and global security, which is why it must be maintained despite ‘US hesitation’.

This announcement comes in reaction to Trump pulling out of the contract, calling it ‘the worst deal ever’.

Difficult words: reconfirmed (confirm again – to say that something is true and going to happen), despite (even though), announcement (saying something formally).
