For many years, chicken is very cheap meat. Then it becomes popular in all the world.

Now the situation is changing. Ukraine is one of the biggest producers of corn and wheat. Farmers feed chickens with corn and wheat. When the war starts, farmers have no corn and wheat. Then the price of chicken starts to grow.

Another reason for high prices is bird flu. It is a serious disease for birds. Farmers must kill millions of chickens and turkeys. They want to stop the disease.

The price grows. Some countries stop chicken exports. It makes new problems. Chicken may soon be as expensive as beef.

Difficult words: producer (a person or company to make something and then sell it), export (to sell things to another country), beef (cow’s meat).
