German football ends a deal with Adidas – level 2

The German football team had a close link with Adidas for years, even during successful World Cup campaigns.
But recently, the German Football Association announced that Nike will replace Adidas as the official partner from 2027 onwards. It was a big surprise for both German fans and Adidas. A sports expert explained that financial problems and recent team performance could be the main reasons for the change. The German Football Association said that there were mainly financial reasons. Adidas was always very important, but Nike’s offer was more attractive. This shows the impact of money on sports. There is a chance of returning to Adidas, as Nike’s contract lasts until 2034.
