Google makes a new quantum chip. It is very powerful. It can solve problems in five minutes. Other supercomputers would need millions of years to solve the same problems.

Quantum computers are different from regular computers. They use qubits instead of bits. Qubits can show 0 and 1 at the same time. They can do tasks faster. Google’s chip has more than 100 qubits. It makes fewer mistakes than before.

These computers could help make new medicines faster. They could study molecules. But they could also break today’s security systems. These systems keep online data safe. To stay safe, scientists are working on new security systems.
