The war between the USA and Iran is now in its second month. And it is very expensive. The US government is spending millions of dollars every day on weapons and ships.
This war costs more money than the wars in Iraq or Afghanistan did at the start. In the first few days, the war cost over 11 billion dollars. The US used many rockets, which cost 3.5 million dollars each. Now, the US spends 385 million dollars every day.
Because of the fighting, the price of oil is going up everywhere. When oil is expensive, the price of food and travel also goes up. For example, in Pakistan, petrol is now much more expensive than before. Many businesses are worried because they don’t know how long the war will continue.
Difficult words: weapon (a gun or bomb), petrol (a fuel which people put in cars and trucks to make them move).
