Men stay in a cave for one week – level 1

Rescuers in Laos help a man get out of a big dark cave. He and four other men are inside the cave for more than a week.
They go into the cave to look for gold. Then, big rains come. A lot of water gets into the cave. The men can not get out. One man runs out fast. He tells the police about the accident. On Wednesday, swimmers find the five men alive. They are 300 meters from the start of the cave. The workers give them water, food, and warm blankets.
On Friday night, the first man comes out. He is very tired. He must see a doctor. Four men are still inside, and two other people are missing. The water is very deep. Some of these workers also help the young boys in a Thailand cave in 2018.
Difficult words: cave (a large natural hole under the ground), alive (not dead), blanket (a large piece of warm cloth).
