Claudia Sheinbaum is the new president of Mexico. She is the first woman to be president.

She has a big ceremony in Mexico City. She says that she will keep the plans of the president before her, Andrés Manuel López Obrador. But Sheinbaum has some big problems to solve. One problem is gang violence. People in Mexico do not feel safe because of that.

Before, she is the mayor of Mexico City. She helps lower the number of murders.  But more people go missing. Now, as president, she will also try to solve the country’s problem with money. It will be a difficult task.

Difficult words: ceremony (a formal event), gang violence (when a group of people hurts others), mayor (the leader of a city).
