Oktoberfest 2016 – level 3

At Oktoberfest 2016, the beer is flowing. This is a beer festival, which brings six million tourists to Munich each year. There is an increased security presence this year with bag checks taking place.

Traditional Bavarian outfits are common at the two-week-long festival. Dresses are called dirndls and long shorts are called lederhosen.

Waiters carry an impressive number of steins, which each hold a litre of beer. Last year, waiters served 7.3 million litres of beer.

Difficult words: impressive (amazing), stein (a large beer mug).
