Olympics in South Korea – level 2

The 2018 Winter Olympics began in the South Korean city of Pyeongchang.

The games opened with an amazing show of fireworks, and crowds of people gathered at the Olympic Stadium to watch the performance. North Korean officials also attended the ceremony and they seemed to like it, with Kim Jong-un’s sister among them.

Difficult words: gather (come together in large numbers), officials (important people sent by the ‘bosses’ of a country), attend (be).
