Paris Police Attacks – level 2
08-10-19 07:00
Last Thursday in Paris, there was a knife attack at a police headquarters. Four people died during the attack and another person was hurt. French authorities said that the killer was a man of 45 years old who worked at the police department since 2003.
The police managed to shoot and kill the man. The police said that the man never had strange behavior before. It was also unclear how the man passed through the metal detectors with a knife.
Paris Mayor, Ane Hildago, wrote on Twitter messages of condolences to the families of the victims of the attack, and she showed appreciation for the police work to protect the city.
Difficult words: headquarters (the place where orders come from such as for the police or a business), condolences (say that you are sad for something very bad that happened).
