Poland is leading the EU for the next six months. Prime Minister Donald Tusk says Poland will help make Europe safe.

The country wants to protect energy, food, and money. It will also help stop fake news. Poland is a neighbor of Russia and Ukraine. It spends a lot of money to protect itself. Since the start of the war in Ukraine, Poland is more important in Europe and NATO.

Inside Poland, there are two leaders with different ideas. Prime Minister Tusk and President Duda do not always agree. This could make Poland’s job in the EU harder.

Difficult words: protect (to keep safe), fake (not real), neighbor (a country or place next to another).
