A scary thing happens at a dinner in Washington. A man with guns tries to hurt President Trump. The President is safe. But it is a long night. Agents act quickly. They take the President away. They catch the man.
One worker is hurt, but he is okay now. The man is 31 years old. His name is Cole. He is from California. He has guns and knives in a hotel. The police are asking him many questions. They want to know why he wants to hurt people. Many people in the room are afraid, and they stay under the tables.
Now, the police must work hard to keep the President safe. Other famous people, like the King of England, are also worried. They want to know if Washington is safe for a visit. Let’s hope that everyone stays safe.
Difficult words: scary (something that makes you feel afraid), agent (a person who works for a government, like the FBI), knife (a sharp tool which we use for cutting food).
