16-12-2024 07:00
Brazilian President Lula is in the hospital. He has a brain surgery.
Lula falls in October. He has bleeding in his head. The surgery goes well. Lula is okay now. He can talk and eat. But he must stay in hospital for some days. After the fall, Lula starts to feel bad. On Monday, his head starts to hurt a lot. Doctors do a scan. They find the problem.
Some people are worried about Lula’s health. He is 79 years old. For now, Vice President Geraldo Alckmin is doing Lula’s work.
Difficult words: surgery (a medical operation), scan (using a special machine which can look inside your body), health (how good someone feels).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
What were the symptoms that led to the discovery of Lula's health problem and who has taken over his duties during his hospital stay?
