Two Record Climbers – level 2
23-05-2018 15:00
Two record-setting climbers landed in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. They both returned from Mount Everest. One of them is a Sherpa guide who scaled Mount Everest for a record 22nd time. He is 48 years old and is already planning his next trip.
The second man was Australian Steve Plain who climbed the highest peaks on all seven continents in just 117 days. He is looking forward to going home and resting.
Difficult words: Sherpa (a Himalayan person who lives on the borders of Nepal and Tibet and is very good at mountaineering), scale (climb), peak (the top of a mountain).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
