Documents about killing John F. Kennedy – level 1

24-03-2025 15:00

The US government shares new secret papers about President John F. Kennedy’s death in 1963.

There are six million pages about the killing. President Trump is releasing 80,000 pages. Some experts say that these papers may show that the official story is wrong. Many people believe that Lee Harvey Oswald does not act alone. Doctors say that the shooting happens from two sides.

Some people believe that the CIA knows a lot about Oswald before the killing. The CIA keeps some papers secret. They say that it is for security. But many people think they are hiding something. People hope that these new documents will tell the full truth about the killing.

Difficult words: secret (when many people do not know about something), release (to make something available), hide (to keep something away from others).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.

How do the details about the number of documents released, the expert opinions on the case, and the claims about the involvement of the CIA contribute to doubts about a single-actor theory of the assassination?
