Horses run through London – level 3

29-04-2024 15:00

A very unusual incident happened in central London on Wednesday morning. Noise from builders near Buckingham Palace caused the military horses from the Household Cavalry to bolt during a rehearsal.

According to the Army spokesman, five horses ran loose and four soldiers were unseated. The animals collided with traffic in several locations and some ran as far as Limehouse in east London, eight kilometers away from where the incident occurred.

The quick reaction of emergency service providers enabled quick treatment of the injured soldiers and horses. All five horses were recovered; however, official didn’t provide information about their condition.

Difficult words: bolt (to run away suddenly), rehearsal (a session of exercise or practice in preparation for a public performance).
